This space allowed us full creativity to showcase our memories while staying true to our personal design choices and styles. The property has a strong story, as previously an office and classroom spaces, and sound recording studios, now converted into a dynamic space for us to live and work in.

We believe in retention in all of our properties, and this property was no different. We demolished the space with our own hands, to ensure we retained our favourite features of the space, including the exposed concrete roof and the hallway structure.

This property is everything we are, everything in it is ours. We moved all of our artifacts and features through 10 different homes, after collecting a lot of our furniture while living overseas in Cambodia and Sri Lanka.  The design of our home best showcases all of our collections and resonates our personal history throughout every element.

We built this property with our own hands, with a young group of tradesmen working with us. We undertook a lot of work and engineering to seal the space off from the rest of the building, including moving the water supply and ventilation.

No space overwhelms any other, each space flows into the next, designed centrally around our kitchen and bench-top as a gathering point for our family. The kitchen is unique, and my (Peter’s) favourite space in the home, with it’s L shape that wraps around the building, and it’s multiple preparation and cleaning areas. Everything is soft and gentle, while being creatively designed and with playful use of colour.

We don’t ever intend to sell this property: it is a place we enjoy coming home to, and hope everyone who has purchased one of our properties feels the same way.
